Ivan Doherty
Ivan has 27 years’ experience in Financial Planning and holds the G60 advanced retirement planning qualification with the Chartered Institute of Insurance in the UK. In addition, he has the Advanced Certificate in Trustee Investment & Financial Appraisal issued by the Society for Trust and Estate Planners (STEP) and is a member of the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives in the UK.
He started his career at the National & Provincial Building Society (now Santander bank) before moving into financial services in 1990. Having worked in institutional mutual fund sales for five years, he moved into an investment advisory role specialising in group pensions/employee benefits and retirement planning. In September 2000, Ivan moved to Japan to continue his career advising expatriate investors on retirement and portfolio planning.
Ivan is a long-suffering supporter of Leeds United Football Club and is a keen photographer and skier. He is married with two children.
